Yeah yeah, I know, it's been FOREVER!!

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything new.  I've been in a pretty dark place, and it's really hard to be positive when you're down like this, ya know?  Instead of bogging everyone else down with my drama, I just suffered in silence.  =)  Anyway, I don't know that I'm DONE with the down in the dumps, but I'm working on it!!  I found this GREAT website just a few minutes ago, it's http://www.yourlifeyourway.net/.  They have inspirational quotes, AMAZING photos, and some pretty great blog entries!!  The lady's name is Tia, and her space says that she's a coach/pathfinder/whole bunch of other stuff!!  Whatever the case may be, go check it out!!  I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed!!

Lastly, I found this AMAZING quotation while on Pinterest for the 97th hour today.....I know SEVERAL hypocrites, not that I'm naming any names.  That's one of the main reasons I'm no longer going to the church that I went to for almost 30 years.  Well, that and the fact that they wouldn't let me marry my husband in the church that I grew up in.  I was told that they "aren't doing weddings in the church anymore, because it's too much of a hassle to clean up for Sunday morning."  I know for a FACT that there have been several weddings at that church since my wedding, and they didn't have to make alternate plans because they were told no.  VERY hurtful.  Oh well, that person can suck my big toe.

I'm a sinner saved by the grace of God.  I am DEFINITELY a sinner, but I don't claim to be anything else.  God bless you!!

I wanna write a book...

I really want to write a book!!  I've always wanted to work in publishing somehow, be it editing, proofreading, writing, or whatever.  Unfortunately, since I'm in Oklahoma, there's not really much opportunity for me to do that!  I've really been thinking about what I want in my life, and I know for a FACT that working at OMD fo the rest of my life is NOT what I want for my life.  I want to make some kind of contribution to the world!!  I think that if I write a book, it will help me contribute to the world!  So....what should I write about?  I've got some ideas, but I'd like to see what you think...  Give me some ideas!!

Glass Etching

I bought some glass etching creme last week.  I'm really excited to try it, but I think I have a problem.  I buy all of this craft crap, and then I'm afraid to use it!!  What if I mess it up?  Then I've wasted some perfectly good material, or a good glass!!  I DID get my glasses from Dollar Tree, so they were only $1, but I'm so scared!!  It's so dumb.  I don't know why I have such a fear.

Anyway......  I bought some etching creme for my glasses, and I can't WAIT to try it!!  If I can get it figured out, I'm going to make some up for the drinkers in Danny's family.  I've been trying to think of some phrases that go with drinking and Danny's family!  Do you have any suggestions?

Something else to be etched with the glass creme?  A teeny tiny bottle with a cork, for 'fairy dust'!  I'm planning on etching the word 'wish' onto my tiny bottle!  I'm really looking forward to trying this stuff out!  I tried it last week on the tiny bottle, but I couldn't get the word 'wish' cut out of my vinyl.  I'm going to try to get some words printed on paper to help me with cutting out the template for my glasses.  Anyway...what would you put on a wine glass, if you didn't really KNOW the recipient, but you knew that she liked to drink?  I thought about YUM, but then I thought that maybe sounded silly.  What should I do??  I guess it would be really nice to get a neat fact about them, or a favorite quote of theirs, to put on the glasses!!!  I just thought about something else....a drinking quote from Marilyn Monroe or another really cool actress!  I've got it!!  =)  Have a great day!!

Chinese Toddler Hit and Run

So, I just read an article on Yahoo!, about a two year old girl in China who was hit by a van, and instead of helping, several vehicles drove right past the girl, not even slowing down.  A second truck actually hit the girl AGAIN!!  Finally, a woman stepped in and helped the girl out of the street to where her mother had just arrived.  Apparently, in China, people are afraid to help, for fear of being blamed and possibly prosecuted!!  Are you kidding me?  You can't help a BABY off of the street, because you are afraid to get blamed??  How disgusting is that?!

What would you do?  If you feared that you would be blamed for a horrendous crime if you helped a child, would you NOT help?  Would you let a poor baby lay there, dying, so you didn't possibly get in trouble?  I don't care what the consequences are, if I see a child in trouble, I'm going to help!!  No matter what!!  I couldn't live with myself if I didn't help.  The Bible says, whatever you do to the least of these, you've done to me.

It's been a while....

So, I haven't been on here in a couple weeks.  Sadly, it's because I hurt my stupid knee.  I have NO clue what I did, but I could hardly walk on it, I couldn't drive (because I drive a standard), and I was off work for two weeks.  Not fun.  I am still waiting on someone to call me to schedule an MRI, that should be either today or tomorrow.  Fun stuff.  I've been laying around, sleeping a LOT.  I told my boss that I would work from home, but he didn't want me to, said he didn't have the authority to let me do that.  Whatever.  So, I did nothing.  I watched a LOT of TV, I didn't do many crafts, because I have to be moving to do those.  I haven't used my sewing machine in about three weeks, that's terrible!!  On the plus side though....I have a fun new crafting obsession!!  Polymer Clay!!!  I've been working with it for about a week now, while hanging on the couch, and it's fun!!  I've made a couple charms so far, and that's really it.  I made a candy corn charm, a cupcake charm, a halloween lollipop charm, and a couple glow in the dark star charms.  I'm really looking forward to seeing what I can do with this stuff, the possibilities are endless!!  I was on YouTube almost all day last week, watching tutorials for the clay!  I learned how to make a Pacman charm bracelet, ice cream charms, and several other charms!!  I'm hoping to start crafting for Christmas soon, and I think this will help me with gifts for the small girls in my husband's family!  Yay!!  I think the next post I write will be about Christmas crafting, so stay tuned!!  =)

Just one wish....courtesy of the Mother Huddle...

If you had one wish, just one wish, what would it be?  Nothing about children, about YOU!!

I would wish for peace in my family.  Peace between my husband and my parents.  I wish more than anything that they could get along, for MY sake.  Not for the kids, because they will NEVER agree about the kids, but for me.  If they could just pretend to like each other, so I wouldn’t have to always choose sides between my husband and my parents.  That really sucks.  Sometimes, I would just like to be able to call up my parents and say hey, can we go to lunch?  and take my husband with me, and all of us talk like the adults we ‘claim’ to be.  As it stands right now, my parents don’t like my husband, and he feels the same way.  I would love for all of us to just GET ALONG!!!
Just like Destri, from the Mother Huddle, I too love fresh sheets!!  Mine don’t smell like fresh air though, they smell CLEAN.  It’s a WONDERFUL smell!!  If I could go to bed every night, and magically have clean sheets, I’d be in heaven!!

I know that’s two wishes…one that’s attainable, and one that’s really not.  You decide which is which!!  If you had one wish, what would it be?

This post wouldn't be possible without the great question from this post: http://www.themotherhuddle.com/the-i-and-me-in-us/

Question of the day.....

So, I was doing my normal blog reading, I read like a million blogs a day, and I found a new, fun blog!!  www.puglypixel.com, it's great!!  Today, there was a question of the day, and I really wanted to answer it!!  Maybe I  can start doing this semi-regularly!!  So, without further ado, the question of the day from puglypixel.com:

What would you do if money were not an issue?

If money were not an issue, I would get my back fixed, which would be AMAZING!!  I would adopt a baby, so my husband and I could have a child together.  I would get rid of my awful, awful car, and get a semi-new, 4x4 SUV, and I would get my husband a 4x4 Ford pickup.  If exes were also not an issue, I would buy the house in Colorado Springs, and move my family up there to enjoy the view of Pike’s Peak out of our kitchen window!!  I would quit my job and start homeschooling my kids, so they can stay innocent as long as possible!!  I would also open a teen ranch, for troubled kids, so that we could help runaways and bad kids, which has always been a dream of mine and my husband’s!  I would let my kids go on a shopping spree of course, and I wouldn’t tell them ONCE that it was too expensive.  My poor kids wouldn’t have to look at the price tag one time on this trip!!!  Lastly, I would take my whole family to Disney World,on the vacation of a lifetime!!
What would YOU do if money were not an issue??

Crafty goodness!!

I've kind of been a crafting machine lately!! I got my skirt done, which I talked about a while ago, I am learning how crochet, which is a LOT of fun, and I have started pasting photos to tiles, making really pretty picture frames! They are really neat! I've only done one, but it looks GORGEOUS!!! I'll give you three guesses as to who's pic I put as the first pic!! Of course, my number one kiddo, Brinley! I can't wait to get like a million of them done, so I can give them out as gifts! I'm also going to start painting on ceramic tiles, and making coasters for people, probably for Christmas! I'm excited about all of the ideas I have for Christmas! I need to get on it!!  I really owe a LOT to Danny's aunt Betty, because she's the one who helped me get bit by the sewing bug!! She taught me how to use the machine!! I'm looking forward to the next few months!!  He he he!!

Vacay!

We are going on a mini vacation this weekend!! Can we afford it? Absolutely not!! Are we going anyway? You betcha!! We are driving to Pueblo, CO, to look at all the pretty scenery, then we are turning around and coming home!! Our family needs some 'us' time, so hopefully this will do us a lot of good!! Our cute little Bailey is going with us, that should be fun! She's been great so far!! Hopefully the pattern continues!  The kids are all getting along, and Danny and I aren't fighting either! So far, so good! Wish us luck that the good vibes continue!!

I made a skirt!!!

I've completed my first article of clothing!!! I made a skirt on Saturday, start to finish, and I wore it somewhere!! I'm so excited!!! It was just a simple black skirt, with an asymetrical hemline, and I think it was great!! The waist line looked a little wonky, but I wore a long shirt, and no one was the wiser!! I actually wore it to my old best friend's wedding, so it was kind of formal. Actually having a goal in mind, and completing it, is VERY exciting!! I started Saturday morning, we left for a couple hours, and when we got home, I ironed everything, cut up my skirt, pinned it all over, and started sewing!! Like I said, the waist line was kind of wonky, but that was because I had made the opening for the elastic REALLY big. I got the elastic all set, and dang it, the elastic didn't fit!! It was just a teensy bit too big, so I trimmed down my elastic a little, and then it fit in just fine! I finished sewing it up, and I tried it on! It fit, but the hem...just wasn't right. By that time, i didn't have time to fix it, so I closed it up and put it on!! I'm so proud of myself that I had a goal, I worked toward my goal, and I got it done!! Hopefully I learned how to do it, so next time my waistline won't be so wonky!! I'm sure that the more I sew, the better I'll get!!

My new job!!

So, I have a new part time job!!  It's actually just a volunteer thing, and I don't get paid money!!  I do, however, get blog advertisement, on the very top of the giveaway website!!  I love it though, more than my real job!!  If I could get paid to do my new gig, I’d quit my current job in a heartbeat!!  My new ‘job’ is working for a giveaway blog site, posting giveaways that people send in!  It’s super simple, and it might be silly, but I LOVE it!!  I am hoping that I’ll be able to put it on my resume, either that I was volunteering, or that I did some blog work, so that it will help me get an online job, a REAL online job, not one of those stupid scams!!  You should look us up, it’s a GREAT thing!!  People from all over the world email us, and we post their giveaway information!  There have been so many great giveaways!!  There have been earrings, necklaces, gift certificates, altered journals, and more!!  Just today, I posted this REALLY pretty engraved pet portrait, it’s a piece of wood, and it’s customized with YOUR pet!!  It’s really neat!!  I’m going to try to win that one, so I can get a gift for someone for Christmas!!

I’m looking to find another volunteering/part-time job, so if you know of anything, please let me know!!  Also, go see Etsy Giveaways and look around, the link is below!!!

My baby's growing up!

This morning I took the kids to the bus stop.  It was bittersweet for me.  Brinley sat in the front seat with me, and as we sat there, we talked about the day ahead of us, and it was just so sweet.  She is such a big girl, and she is so amazing.  We held hands and had such a grown up talk.  I just can’t get over how big she is getting!!  She is turning into such a beautiful young lady, and I am proud to call her my daughter!
Yesterday when the kids got home from school, they got to watch TV for a while, while Danny was fixing the water pump.  Once that got fixed, the kids all had to do their chores.  Brinley half-ass did her chores, then she went in her room and started reading a book.  Of course, she wasn’t going to get away with doing half of her chores!!
She has been really cranky lately.  She misses her daddy, and I think she’s been really stressed out about him being gone, and it’s causing her to lose sleep.  There are nights when she comes in the living room at midnight, and it’s obvious that she hasn’t been to sleep yet.  Poor girl!  I’m really glad that Dan hasn’t yelled at her about it, when we talked about it, he said he wanted to!  She’s just stressed, and I know that!  I don’t blame her, I’d be stressed out too if my dad was gone!!   Hopefully when he comes home on leave, she will realize that he is fine, and it will help her not to stress so much, so she’ll get more sleep.

I'm learning to crochet!!

I’m learning to crochet!! I got a book last week, and I’ve just been chipping at it, one day at a time! As of last night, I’ve finished about four rows of a future blanket, I’m REALLY excited!! I’m hoping to get it done some time before Christmas, and maybe if I do, I can figure out how to make some Christmas gifts for people. I’m really excited, because this is something I’ve always wanted to learn!! I am really enjoying crafting!! I can’t wait to get it done, so I can post the pics on here!! =)

I witnessed a wreck!!

So I witnessed a wreck today.  A BAD wreck.  There were three vehicles involved, a black van, a white car, and a red truck.  I’m going to talk through what happened, mostly for my sake.  Feel free to read all about it!  I’m going to use BV for black van, WC for white car, and RT for red truck.  Duh.  =)
Anyway, I was driving along, going about 90 MPH, when all of a sudden I felt the need to slow down.  I slowed down to about 75 or so, and then in front of me, I saw this BV with the hazard lights on, going REALLY slow.  There was a WC driving up on it, going REALLY fast, when the WC suddenly slammed on her brakes, swerving back and forth across the lanes of traffic.  The WC swerved off the road, then got back on the road, where she hit a BV.  The BV swerved of course, because of the collision, and the RT swerved, trying to avoid being hit by the BV.  The RT swerved off the road, then back on the road, and then he went off the road again and flipped twice, landing on its side.  I was behind all of it, watching, kind of frozen in shock.  I pulled over to the side of the road, trying to decide whether to call 911 or not.  Someone else who witnessed it pulled over in front of me, and as they got out of their car, they were calling 911, so I didn’t.  I walked across the busy highway; it hadn’t slowed down at all, to talk to the people in the wreck.  There was a guy in the RT, a woman in the BV, and a woman in the WC.  Believe it or not, everyone was okay!!  The guy in the RT climbed out his window, and he walked away without a scratch!!  Within seconds it seemed, there was an EMT on the spot, and the fire and police were also there within minutes!!  The other witness and I had to stand around waiting, probably for about 30 minutes, waiting to give our statement to the Highway Patrol.  We gave our accounts, and he took my information, just in case.  It was VERY scary, and I’m still thanking God that He made me slow down, otherwise, one of those vehicles probably would have been mine.  Thank you God!  Even though I’ve had some really personal issues with God this summer, He was still there, watching over me.  He definitely deserves ALL the credit for keeping me safe.

It's been a while...again!!

Grr!!  I was so excited to blog every single day, and it's been a week since my last post, AGAIN!!  Oh well, I'm here now, and that's what matters!!  =)  This has been a VERY long week, and I have never been more glad that it is Friday!!  I am SO glad that tomorrow's the weekend, and the only thing I have to do is finish up school shopping, which isn't a lot because we did it all last week!  Thanks to Tax Free Weekend, we saved like $400!!  =)

Monday starts the Big Idea Festival at http://www.bigpictureclasses.com/, and I can't wait!!  I'm really looking forward to learning some new scrapping techniques!!  Right now, I'm in a class called Write Now!, a zippy journaling workshop that's going to teach me how to write gooder!!  =P  So far I've learned a LOT!!  I love it!

Big Picture Classes

I've been crafting like crazy lately!!  Usually I just buy stuff, and then I get bored with the hobby, whatever it may be, but so far, I've been USING what I've bought!!  On Wednesday, I made a new bag for my wire jewelry making supplies, and I made a bunch of trees of life!  I don't think I'm doing them quite right, but I don't care!

This afternoon, I have to go to the eye doctor for a Glaucoma test.  Please pray that I pass!!  A month ago, I got my eyes checked, and I tested in the high risk range for glaucoma, so my further testing is today.  Please pray!!  I don't need ANOTHER ailment!!

That's all for now folks, hopefully there will be more later!! =)

Daily Posting...

So I guess when I named my blog, I shouldn't have named it my 'daily' blog, I should have named it the 'whenever I feel like it' blog!!  I've been trying SO hard to post every day, but almost every time I think about it, I'm not near a computer, and if I am, I'm busy doing something else!!  Anyway, my point is, I'm going to try to start writing more often, if it kills me!!

Okay, so I have a question.  I want to get my girls something to remember us by while they are at school.  I saw these rings that I fell in LOVE with, it is just a plain silver ring that spells LOVE in cursive.  My husband thinks they're too young for that, but what do you think??  I think T might be too young, but not B.  B is too smart for even 2nd grade, I think she would definitely be able to take care of something like that.  Do you have any ideas for what I can give them, so they won't be lonely at school??  Thanks!!

Link Party???

Okay, so I know this is probably a really stupid question, but WHAT THE HECK IS A LINK PARTY????  I keep seeing them EVERYWHERE in blogland, but I can't find a definition anywhere!!  If I knew what one was, I would probably be more inclined to participate in one!!  Help me!!!

In other news, today's a great day!!  =)

Hilarious Imaginary Letter about Oklahoma!

I received this in an email, it was one of those forwards that we all get, but this one was amazing!!  I don't know who the author is, so this is me giving him credit.....

Read on if you want a laugh!!

Dear Diary,
Just moved to Oklahoma! Now this is a state that knows how to live!! Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings.
It is beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here.

June 14th:
Really heating up. Got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an air-conditioned car. What a pleasure to see the sun everyday like this. I'm turning into a sun worshipper.

June 30th:
Had the backyard landscaped with western plants today. Lots of cactus and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing the lawn for me. Another scorcher today, but I love it here.

July 10th:
The temperature hasn't been below 100 all week. How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least, it's kind of windy though. But getting used to the heat is taking longer than I expected.

July 15th:
Fell asleep by the community pool.. Got 3rd degree burns over 60% of my body. Missed 3 days of work. What a dumb thing to do. I learned my lesson though. Got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this.

July 20th:
I missed Lomita (my cat) sneaking into the car when I left this morning. By the time I got to the hot car at noon, Lomita had died and swollen up to the size of a shopping bag, then popped like a water balloon. The car now smells like Kibbles and Shits. I learned my lesson though. No more pets in this heat. Good ol'
Mr. Sun strikes again.

July 25th:
The wind sucks. It feels like a giant
freaking blow dryer!! And it's hot as hell. The home air-conditioner is on the fritz and the AC repairman charged $200 just to drive by and tell me he needed to order parts.

July 30th:
Been sleeping outside on the patio for 3 nights now, $225,000 house and I can't even go inside. Lomita is the lucky one. Why did I ever come here?

Aug.. 4th:
Its 115 degrees. Finally got the
air-conditioner fixed today. It cost $500 and gets the temperature down to 85. I hate this stupid state.

Aug. 8th:
If another wise ass cracks, 'Hot enough for you today?' I'm going to strangle him. Damn heat. By the time I get to work, the radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell like baked cat!!

Aug. 9th:
Tried to run some errands after work. Wore shorts, and when I sat on the seats in the car, I thought my butt was on fire. My skin melted to the seat. I lost 2 layers of flesh and all the hair on the back of my legs and ass . . . Now my car smells like burnt hair, fried butt, and baked cat.

Aug 10th:
The weather report might as well be a damn recording. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. It's been too hot to do crap for 2 damn months and the weatherman says it might really warm up next week. Doesn't it ever rain in this damn state?
Water rationing is next, so my $1700 worth of cactus will just dry up and blow over. Even the cactus can't live in this damn heat.

Aug. 14th:
Welcome to HELL! Temperature got to 115
today. Cactus are dead. Forgot to crack the window and blew the damn windshield out of the car. The installer came to fix it and guess what he asked me??? "Hot enough for you today?" My sister had to spend $1,500 to bail me out of jail. Freaking Oklahoma. What kind of a sick demented idiot would want to live here?? Will write later to let you know how the trial goes.

Pray for my baby girl!!!!

I keep meaning to update my blog, then I get busy, EVERY SINGLE TIME!!  Maybe I need to take a notebook with me everywhere I go, so I can write down my ideas, that way I will always have something to write about!!  Anyway....

I found out that my baby girl has to have surgery on Wednesday.  She has to have her adenoids taken out, and tubes put in.  I know it's a pretty routine surgery, but I'm still nervous!!  My girl is REALLY freaked out!!  She did really good at the doctor's office, but as soon as we left, she broke down into tears!!  She is really scared that something is going to happen!!  I don't blame her, that's a lot to handle for a seven year old!!  I'm sure she'll be fine, but please pray for us on Wednesday morning!!!

Oh happy day!!

This is what I wrote on Independence Day, and I forgot to hit publish!!

OH, we had SO much fun!!  We ended up going to Yukon, to the Freedom Fest, which was a long drive!!  Once we got there, we started wandering around, and this REALLY sweet older lady driving a golf cart labeled 'shuttle' picked us up, and while she drove us to the site, she told us all about everything that was going on!  She said there was free ice cream, free watermelon, the Rodeo Opry was there singing, Sandi Patty was going to be singing later this evening.  Sandi Patty!!!  It was awesome!!  The sweet lady also told us that there was a hotdog eating competition too, so that was pretty neat!!  The first thing we did when we got there was get some free watermelon.  It was DELICIOUS!!  The kids just kept saying they wanted more and more!!!  After the watermelon, the girls got washed up while the boys went to the car to get our chairs.  After the cleanup, we went to the ice cream table and got some free ice cream, it was YUMMY!!  When Dan and Matt got back from the car, we found a section of grass to claim, and set up camp!  When it was time, we went and watched the hotdog eating contest, which was REALLY gross, but my kids thought it was HILARIOUS!!!  After the contest, we went and found dinner from the vendors, which was YUMMY!!  All of the food there was amazing!!  After dinner, we just hung out, waiting for the fireworks to start!!  At around 9:30, they started the fireworks!!  The fireworks went on for a good 40 minutes or so, it was GREAT!!  The orchestra played in the background while the fireworks were shooting off, it was BEAUTIFUL!!  Maybe later I'll get a couple of pics up here!!  Overall, it was a FANTASTIC day!!
